Paul Antze, Ph.D., is a Core Faculty in the Doctoral Program in Expressive Arts: Therapy, Education, Consulting and Social Change at EGS, Associate Professor in the Division of Social Science, Graduate Program in Social and Political Thought and Graduate Program in Social Anthropology at York University in Toronto, Canada. He is the former President of the Canadian Association for Medical Anthropology. He is the author of numerous articles on psychoanalysis and psychiatric anthropology and is co-editor of Tense Past: Cultural Essays in Trauma and Memory (Routledge, 1996) and Illness and Irony: On the Ambiguity of Suffering in Culture (Berghahn, 2003).
